"You bet it does-it's the driver." All kidding aside, Cobra Electronic’s Celebrating 50 Years with a New CB Radio
Last week Cobra Electronics Corporation announced the launch of its 50th Anniversary Limited Edition CB Radio. The new 29 LX LE CB Radio has been completely redesigned, with an LCD display that you pick the color for (match your cab-red, green, blue or amber), night and day settings so it’s readable in bright sunlight or moonless night and an ergonomic microphone. But wait – there’s more. The 50th anniversary CB comes with a new weather alert scan that automatically advances to the next clear NOAA weather channel when driving cross-country, ensuring the driver is always getting the latest weather alerts and warnings. It also has its own Radio Check Diagnostic system and a large center scroll knob for easy setup and channel changes, plus its incoming signals and voice clarity have been enhanced.
You’ll see it first at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas at the Cobra Booth #16074 August 26-28th later this summer. It’ll be for sale in September at travel centers, CB shops and truck dealers for $149.95.
“For 50 years Cobra has provided the highest quality products to meet the needs of the professional driver,” said Tony Mirabelli, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Cobra. “After extensive product testing and customer feedback, the 29 LX LE is a culmination of performance, style and innovation in Citizens Band Radios.”
