Dear Fellow Trucker:

“Fellow trucker” may sound funny coming from the head of a financial services company, but the truth is I’m a fourth-generation trucker. My great-grandfather drove horse-drawn wagons through the streets of New York and my family has been in the business since.

A different factor

When we started ABC back in 2004, I knew I wanted it to be a different kind of factoring operation. It’s hard to believe, but most of the executives that run major factoring outfits don’t know much about trucking. They know loans and banking of course, but that’s only half of factoring, the easy half at that.

Credit is the financial fuel of trucking. Without it, the big rigs don’t roll. When times are tough, bankers tighten up. We take a different tact.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that trucking’s a tough business, particularly now. These are times when you want people in your operation with experience and knowledge. I run ABC the same way. Our board and management team are people who have spent their professional lives in trucking.

Long-term experience

Trucking downturns aren’t new to us at ABC and our long-term experience gives us a different perspective. We look at our customers’ entire business, not just its last quarter.

I could say a lot more about our company and team, but I know truckers are a hard lot to convince. They tend to go on what they know, not what they’re told.

A 4th generation trucker from New York City, Steve comes from a family trucking business. From those roots, Steve brings a unique background which includes corporate finance positions at major truck manufacturers, leasing companies and commercial finance institutions - as well as asset based lending and freight-bill factoring.


George Thorson

George Thorson - Executive Vice President

As the former CEO of Collateral Risk Management Services, George brings 28 years experience in ABL/Factoring credit and risk management. George is a native of Chicago, but has been a Texan for 20 years.


RobertBerg

Robert Berg - Vice President, Controller

Robert is the newest member of our management team, but a 25 year veteran of the financial services industry having served as controller for several area mortgage companies. Most recently, Rob joined us from Jefferson Wells where his experience as a CPA/consultant was further broadened. A native Texan, Rob enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.


Jan Bellah

Jan Bellah - Vice President, Operations

Jan is a "factoring lifer", beginning her career with Republic Factors in Dallas, and has had experienced working in and managing all areas of the business. As Operations Manager, Jan oversees the client services team. Her number one goal is to provide efficiencies of service that enhance and support our clients’ business needs.


Jammye Reeves

Joseph Sammons - Vice President, Underwriting

Joe's the new guy - but don't tell that to his friends at Briar Capital, Wells Fargo Business Credit, HSBC Business Credit, Coast Business Credit or Amsouth. With 30 years of credit and portfolio experience in both factoring and asset based lending, Joe's brought tremendous strength to our bench. Does not sound like a Texan, but we're working on him.


Jammye Reeves

Jammye Reeves - Credit & Collections Manager

Jammye is the Transportation Credit Queen, keeping personal tabs on OnlineBrokerCredit and over 70,000 debtors. With 13 yearrs experience, she is a member of both the National Association of Credit Management and Transportation Revenue Management Group. Jammye is so committed to our clients she even dreams about credit - giving new meaning to her ability to "do this in her sleep".


Debbie Smith

Debbie Smith - Operations Manager

Debbie comes from the Asset Based Lending world, having worked at both The Associates and CitiCapital. She is directly responsible for our Cash4Truckers clients, and has a special heart for the small trucker: "Trucking is a tough job, and we're here to help."


Glen Long

Glen Long - Technical Services Manager

When all else fails, we call Glen. Glen is responsible for making our technology work for both you and us. As a result, he's both our point person and continuing liaison for client relationships. Whether it's phones or fax or scanning or schedule submission, do what we do: "Just call Glen".


Andrea McCann

Andrea McCann - Treasury Services Manager

Otherwise known as "Ms. Fabulous", Andrea is responsible for our banking and treasury services. Short and sassy, she nonetheless ensures that cash deposits are properly applied and client fundings disbursed - on time, every time. Simply fabulous.


Debra Robinson - Collections Supervisor

The newest member of the team is from the great state of Louisiana. Debra worked for a leading LTL carrier and brings 14 years of experience in transportation credit and collections. She leads our collection team with a contagiously Cajun commitment to working hard for our clients.


Sandy Austin

Sandy Austin - Sr. Account Executive

Sandy joins us after several years experience in the banking and accounting industries. Her clients know her to be meticulous and detailed, but always fair and consistent. "I look forward to building a strong relationship with each of my clients to help them reach all of their goals and dreams.”"


Melissa Free

Melissa Free - Account Executive

Melissa is one of our high flyers, having come to us from the airline industry. One of the reasons we got her was that her old company was no longer committed to providing the customer service levels that made them an international airlines. “I’m here to remind people what’s important – and to make sure they never, ever forget!"


Sarah Sanchez

Sarah Sanchez - Account Executive

Sarah began her career with ABC in August 2007, with experience at a law firm and in education. Sarah graduated from Stephen F Austin State University with a BS degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. As an Account Executive, Sarah puts her client’s needs first and strives to meet and exceed expectations in service and attitude. We can always count on Sarah to bring a smile to the table!


Deana Miller

Deana Miller - Account Executive

Deana joined us in 2006 with 13 years in the Healthcare Industry of which 6 were concentrated in accounting. She began as a CSR and quickly rose through the ranks to take on the responsibilities of an Account Executive. Deana lives a life of service as exemplified by her many years in the healthcare industry and her dedication to her church and family. “Customer Satisfaction is my daily motivator”.

Terri Wickliffe - Account Executive

Terri joins us with over 15 years of banking, customer service, factoring and asset based lending experience - much of which involved taking care of truckers at The Associates and CitiCapital.
